This role provides strategic leadership for division-wide HSS initiatives and directly manages one HSS professional. Oversees risk assessments, audit programs, training initiatives, incident investigations, and injury case management across multiple facilities. Partners with Division and Business Unit leadership to implement behavioral-based safety programs, drive safety culture improvement, and provide senior-level HSS expertise for operations and new business pursuits. Develops predictive analytics to identify critical risks and implements preventative strategies. Serves as the primary HSS authority for the New Jersey Division, requiring regular field presence to provide operational support, oversight, coaching, and strategic direction while developing HSS team capabilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principales fonctions\/responsabilit\u00e9s : <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develops, implements, and manages comprehensive HSS policies, procedures, and program elements across the New Jersey Division to drive safety culture transformation and behavioral excellence in alignment with Veolia Standards.<\/li>\n<li>Leads the New Jersey Division HSS leadership team in developing corporate HSS standards, strategic planning, budget development, and goal setting; provides executive-level mentorship to HSS professionals and Project Safety Coordinators while serving as primary liaison between Division Operations and corporate HSS management.<\/li>\n<li>Directs the development of division-wide HSS training resources and oversees field coaching programs; manages one HSS professional to ensure consistent delivery and effectiveness across all locations.<\/li>\n<li>Oversees division-level risk assessments and develops comprehensive HSS risk reduction strategies to systematically reduce injuries and incidents across multiple facilities and operations.<\/li>\n<li>Manages HSS audit programs and worksite inspection protocols across the New Jersey Division; serves as senior subject matter expert in HSS disciplines (OSHA regulations, LOTO, JSA, Confined Space, PSM\/RMP) and provides technical guidance to operations leadership.<\/li>\n<li>Oversees division-wide HSS training compliance, monitors training effectiveness metrics, and ensures regulatory compliance across all New Jersey Division facilities through direct management of HSS staff and training initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Directs incident investigation processes for injuries, vehicle incidents, and significant events across the division; ensures thorough root cause analysis, prepares executive-level investigation reports, and coordinates with workers&#8217; compensation coordinators and legal counsel.<\/li>\n<li>Leads effective case management strategies for employee injuries across the division and manages workers&#8217; compensation claims to optimize outcomes and control costs.<\/li>\n<li>Designs and implements division-wide behavioral-based safety programs customized to diverse operational environments and specific site needs.<\/li>\n<li>Establishes and maintains division-level HSS data management systems, analyzes trends across multiple facilities, reviews consolidated OSHA logs, and delivers strategic HSS performance reports to senior operational management.<\/li>\n<li>Provides HSS consultation to Engineering and Operations departments for capital projects and operational changes across the New Jersey Division.<\/li>\n<li>Leads project management for strategic HSS initiatives across the division, including resource allocation, timeline management, and stakeholder coordination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Environnement de travail :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Office environment with daily exposure to water and\/or wastewater plant environment (exposure to chemicals and moving equipment), field visits with crews working on highway settings (traffic exposure), exposure to outside weather conditions (winter &#8211;
