This role is responsible for the safe and efficient packaging, handling, and processing of retail and&#xa0;lab pack waste at the Clean Earth facility. They will also ensure that the teams consistently meet regulatory and&#xa0;safety compliance measures and operate in a productive and profitable manner in accordance with Clean Earth&#xa0;policies, practices, and procedures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions): The main duties and responsibilities.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manages all aspects of the lab pack field team including hiring, training, development, and performance in&#xa0;accordance with HR policies and practices.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate lab pack field projects as needed that may include high hazard services, HHW, or any business-related needs.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the team responsible for the de-packing of lab pack and retail waste including all reactives,<\/li>\n<li>cylinders, and specialty waste.<\/li>\n<li>Acts as a technical resource for the team as well as customer service and sales.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction, both internally and externally.<\/li>\n<li>Submits lab pack consolidation sheets to end disposal facilities for approval.<\/li>\n<li>Works with management team to implement, update, and develop standard work practices.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures appropriate paperwork is completed and data is entered correctly in system including manifest&#xa0;and land disposal restriction forms.<\/li>\n<li>Assists in ensuring that the plant meets regulatory and safety compliance measures and operates in a&#xa0;safe, productive, and profitable manner.&#xa0;<\/li>\n<li>Ensures compliance with all program objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Performs periodic audits and review of inbound containers and provides feedback to appropriate&#xa0;management group.<\/li>\n<li>Administers all Clean Earth Company policies and procedures, communicates to staff and when necessary,&#xa0;ensures compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Support sales department in the implementation of new accounts, presentation of services, response to&#xa0;inquiries and technical information.<\/li>\n<li>Report any incidents, injuries or safety concerns to management in a timely manner.&#xa0;<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to and abide by CE safety and security policies and procedures (e.g. Cardinal Rules, Job Safety&#xa0;Analyses (JSAs), and Transportation Manual).&#xa0;<\/li>\n<li>Other duties and responsibilities as reasonably assigned by management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Environnement de travail :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods including&#xa0;climbing in and out of the back of a commercial truck.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds regularly, with and without assistance.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled environments.<\/li>\n<li>Visual acuity to read labels and documentation and sufficient depth perception to safely operate forklifts.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes, alarms, and other audible safety signals.<\/li>\n<li>Ability and willingness to wear company-issued personal protection equipment (PPE), including, but not&#xa0;limited to, safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving vehicles, electrical current, and exposure to chemicals.<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to regularly access and use general office equipment including phones, computers, copiers,&#xa0;etc.<\/li>\n<li>Doit \u00eatre capable de travailler dans un environnement de travail anim\u00e9 et souvent distrayant, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement climatis\u00e9.<\/li>\n<li>Based on service center level and location, this position may light to moderate travel as business requires.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Starting salary &#8211; $85,000 based on experience<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Basic Requirements:&#xa0;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Associate\u2019s degree in area of General Science or equivalent experience<\/li>\n<li>Two or more years of field management experience<\/li>\n<li>Five or more years of experience in lab packing and\/or segregating pharmaceutical waste<\/li>\n<li>Permis de conduire valide<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience: (Required minimum of years of relevant experience.)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BS\/BA in science related field\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b<\/li>\n<li>Must be 21 years of age in accordance with FMCSA guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Driver\u2019s license with safe driving record and ability to obtain a Commercial Driver\u2019s License within<\/li>\n<li>6 months of hire<\/li>\n<li>Current Medical Examiner\u2019s Certificate (MEC) and valid TWIC card or ability to obtain within 6<\/li>\n<li>months of hire<\/li>\n<li>HAZMAT and\/or Tanker endorsement or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire<\/li>\n<li>Completion of 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training<\/li>\n<li>40 hours of de-packing experience<\/li>\n<li>Hazardous waste processing experience preferred<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills: (The skills listed are the abilities and knowledge required to perform the job effectively.)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong understanding of chemistry through general chemistry or biology<\/li>\n<li>Well-developed knowledge of Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA), Department of<\/li>\n<li>Transportation (DOT), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Toxic<\/li>\n<li>Substance Control Act (TSCA) regulations<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with state regulations within service area<\/li>\n<li>Ability to operate powered equipment such as a forklift<\/li>\n<li>Ability to operate a computer with Windows-based programs<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills and ability to politely deal with customers and team members<\/li>\n<li>Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and\/or DEA background check<\/li>\n<li>Ability to complete Clean Earth Lab Pack Training\/Onboarding (24 hours) after hire<\/li>\n<li>Ability to read a map<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in verbal and written English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This position requires a CDL B to be obtained within a 6-month period from your start date.
